Black-Eyed Pea Luck
Every good southerner knows that on New Years Day you eat plenty of black-eyed peas.
When you do you are said to have boundless luck in the new year, all year.
N & I had--brown sugar glazed salmon, fresh squash, sweet corn, & a black-eyed pea & bell pepper salad. It was delish. I think it made me lucky as all hell already.
Found out today from one very lovely woman in my corner (if the world is one great big ole boxing ring), MMM, that Jim Harrison agreed (100%) to blurb my book, Black-Eyed Heifer. Thanks, black-eyed peas.
This is the coolest coolest. Jane, Brenda, Jim Harrison. Yip!
